Our client is a well-established crypto payments and processing company enabling businesses worldwide to accept, manage, and scale crypto transactions securely and efficiently, operating at the intersection of crypto, Web3, and global payments.
We’re recruiting a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the finance function end-to-end and help scale the business globally. You’ll own financial strategy, reporting, controls, treasury, and risk management, partnering closely with the CEO and leadership team to drive sustainable growth in a regulated, fast-evolving industry.
This role is for someone who can move comfortably between strategy and execution: building a finance organization, strengthening governance, and supporting expansion across markets, products, and partners.
What you’ll do
- Financial leadership & strategy: Build and execute a multi-year financial plan aligned to business goals (growth, margins, capital needs).
- Reporting & visibility: Own monthly/quarterly close, management reporting, KPI dashboards, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Controls & governance: Establish robust financial controls, policies, and processes appropriate for a payments business.
- Treasury & liquidity: Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, banking relationships, and treasury operations (including crypto/fiat flows as applicable).
- Compliance & risk: Partner with Legal/Compliance on financial aspects of regulatory requirements (audit readiness, risk frameworks, governance).
- Commercial partnering: Support pricing, unit economics, product profitability, partner negotiations, and market expansion decisions.
- Fundraising / investor readiness (if relevant): Lead financial due diligence, investor reporting, valuation support, and financing processes.
- Team building: Scale and mentor the finance team (FP&A, accounting, tax, treasury, controls).
Must-haves
- Proven CFO/VP Finance leadership experience in fintech, payments, SaaS, or regulated financial services (or comparable complexity).
- Strong FP&A + accounting foundation (budgeting, forecasting, audit, compliance-ready reporting).
- Experience building finance processes and controls in scaling environments.
- Comfort owning treasury/cash management and working with banks/payment partners.
- Strong stakeholder management: can advise CEOs/boards and drive alignment across functions.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in crypto, Web3 infrastructure, or companies with crypto/fiat treasury operations.
- Experience with multi-entity / multi-country structures, tax planning, and international expansion.
- Fundraising, M&A, or strategic financing experience.
- Exposure to risk, AML-related financial controls, or financial crime frameworks (in partnership with compliance).
