In this role, you will design, build, and maintain a multi-cloud environment, automate workflows, ensure secure and compliant systems, and support deployments, all while collaborating with an experienced team with over 25 years in banking and IT industry.
As DevOps engineer, you will specialize in their payment processing platform and its underlying platform technologies. Their team of DevOps engineers together with the Application support engineer and Security team are responsible for delivering a highly available, reliable, and secure SaaS service.
Responsibilities:
● Plan and organize day-to-day work as well as work on reaching long-term goals
● Contribute to the development of cloud-native approach and technology stack, test new tools and technologies
● Build and maintain the underlying multi-cloud infrastructure as well as the DevOps toolset and other components that comprise the overall platform
● Build new solutions and improve the existing ones, automate daily tasks, and improve overall platform automation and monitoring solutions
● Together with the security and compliance team develop, implement, and maintain secure and compliant systems
● Participate in the deployment and integration of application releases and patches
● Help debug application issues together with the application support team and provide feedback to the application development team
● Deploy and integrate new client environments in the existing platform
● Support daily operations, help with daily operations tasks and participate in incident resolution
● Participate in scheduled on-call support on a rolling basis and ensure 24/7 operation of the platform
Ideally, you should have:
● Good understanding of DevOps and SRE practices and philosophy
● Experience with any of the following cloud providers: Oracle Cloud, AWS or Azure
● Good understanding of GitOps, IaC (Infrastructure as Code) and CaC (Configuration as Code)principles
● Proficient in Ansible and Terraform
● Experienced or proficiency with CI/CD tools and overall automation, testing, and monitoring (GitLab or any other CI/CD tool)
● At least basic knowledge of SQL
● Proficient in at least one programming language
● Good understanding of networking concepts
● Experience with Linux and/or Windows operating systems and scripting
● Analytical and growth-focused mindset
● Organized, self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks while working independently or with remote teams
● Proficiency in English
Any of the following is a bonus:
● Experience in payment cards, banking, or payments industry
● Knowledge of payment scheme specifications and processes
● Experience in an environment with a positive focus on security and compliance (e.g. PCI DSS, ISO 27001, Zero Trust Architecture)
