Our client is a Latvian-born supplements-on-demand platform built on a print-on-demand model and operating in the US market. Founded in 2021, the company is preparing for a Series A funding round (targeting ~$10M, September 2026) and is scaling rapidly toward a goal of growing revenue from $10M to $250M. With a lean team of 56 across Latvia, they are building the technology foundation to support that growth — and they need a senior frontend engineer to bring structure to a fast-moving, design-heavy engineering culture.
About the role
The core mission here is leading the platform's migration from Webflow to Astro and Sanity CMS, while building a robust design system that works as a standalone package — usable by platform engineers, by designers building landing pages, and by anyone else creating presentations. The groundwork exists; your job is to make it production-grade.
You will work in a 7-person IT team (CTO, engineers, 1 DevOps) where radical autonomy and bottom-up ownership are the default. A key part of this role is bridging the gap between vibe-coding designers — who work with AI tools and move fast — and the engineering team, without slowing either side down.
What you will do:
- Lead the migration from Webflow to Astro and Sanity CMS
- Build and own the design system as a reusable package across the whole platform
- Mentor designers (Vibe/AI tool users) in preparing production-ready code
- Bridge communication between the design and engineering teams
- Set up and maintain the tooling harness for designers (Storybook, CMS, etc.)
- Drive the adoption of agentic frontend approaches across the platform
Tech competences:
- Strong hands-on experience with React.js, Node.js, and TypeScript
- Proven track record building and maintaining design systems
- Solid understanding of AI/Vibe coding tools and how to bring their output up to production standards
Nice to have: broader practical experience working with AI engineering tools
