Our client is a rapidly growing Latvian-founded technology company operating in the US market. Having achieved strong product-market fit and significant revenue growth, the company is now entering an exciting scaling phase and investing heavily in its technology and data capabilities.
To support this growth, they are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer who will take ownership of the entire analytics domain, build a modern data foundation, and help transform data into a strategic advantage across the organization.
What You'll Do
As the first dedicated Analytics Engineer, you'll become the owner and champion of the company's data ecosystem. Working closely with executive leadership and stakeholders across the business, you'll build scalable analytics capabilities that support data-driven decision-making at every level.
- Build and lead the analytics function from the ground up
- Manage and evolve the company's BigQuery-based Data Warehouse
- Design, build, and maintain ELT pipelines and semantic data models
- Lead the migration from Looker to Supersimple
- Develop custom data connectors where needed
- Enable self-service analytics across the organization
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable data solutions
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure clean and reliable data structures
- Integrate AI-powered tools into analytics workflows
- Deliver insights that influence strategic business decisions
What We're Looking For
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with BigQuery
- Proven experience with dbt and modern ELT pipelines
- Solid understanding of analytics engineering and data modeling principles
- Experience building scalable data platforms and business intelligence solutions
- Strong business acumen and ability to connect data with business outcomes
- Ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on
- Product-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership
- Interest in AI tools and emerging technologies
Nice to Have
- Experience with Supersimple
- Experience building internal analytics products or platforms
- Startup or scale-up experience
- Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics workflows
