Java Developer

Our partner, an international IT services provider with strong roots in the Swiss technology ecosystem, is looking for a Java Developer. The teams build and operate high-quality digital solutions used in complex, business-critical environments. They focus on long-term partnerships, sustainable engineering practices, and creating real value through technology.

As part of the growth strategy, the company is significantly expanding its presence in Riga and is looking for motivated professionals who want to grow with the team and contribute to modern, impactful products in an international setup.

The teams work in a modern Java Full-Stack environment (Java, Spring Boot, WebFlux) and are looking for an experienced software engineer to join a technically mature setup. The role involves a high level of autonomy, clear communication, and the ability to independently explore and understand complex systems when needed.

The company values modern engineering mindsets and clean, well-structured design over formal seniority. Practical experience with recent Java versions (21+) and contemporary programming paradigms is considered essential.

What matters for this role

Must have:

  • Curious and open mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Professional experience with modern Java versions and programming paradigms
  • Solid hands-on knowledge of Spring Boot and WebFlux for backend and API development
  • Understanding of software design principles, patterns, and architecture
  • Basic understanding of DevOps practices (CI/CD, containers)
  • Fluent English communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience designing REST APIs using OpenAPI and/or Open Service Broker
  • Background in B2B services or regulated environments
  • Exposure to network automation or proxy technologies (e.g. F5)
  • Experience in telecommunications or other critical infrastructure domains
