Data Engineer

Our client, a fast-scaling international FinTech company powered by their own cutting edge payment gateway technology, is looking for a Data Engineer. In this role, you will help shape their data-driven decisions by designing, building, and maintaining ETL pipelines and infrastructure. You will optimize the data warehouse and ensure high-quality data is readily available for business insights, and develop and maintain custom reports and dashboards for key stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

● Design, develop, deploy, and maintain ETL processes to support data integration and transformation

● Collaborate with system administrators to ensure a stable and efficient data processing environment

● Process and integrate raw data from multiple sources into a structured format suitable for analysis

● Enhance and extend the data warehouse by adding new fields and optimizing data models

● Develop and maintain custom reports and dashboards tailored to business user requirements, ensuring accurate aggregation and formatting

Essential Skills & Experience:

● Strong proficiency in SQL, including query optimization and performance tuning

● Solid understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and best practices

● Hands-on experience in developing and supporting ETL processes

● Proven experience in building custom reports and dashboards

● Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly

● Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

Desirable Skills & Experience:

● Experience with PL/SQL, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages

● Familiarity with data integration tools for ETL

● Knowledge of PostgreSQL and its advanced features

● Experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., MicroStrategy)
