QA Lead

Our partner, who is a fast-growing fintech company, is expanding and building a new team in Riga!

The company is an Estonian licensed payment service provider that develops financial digital technology from 2016. As a QA Lead you will support the engineering teams. A QA team of three people is planned to be created to test web systems and support the development process.

Responsibilities:

Directly manage and lead QA team members, guide and mentor Junior, Middle and Senior QA engineers
Ensure that team is meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work
Develop detailed test plans and test cases
Oversee the execution of test cases and manage bugs lifecycle
Ensure that testing covers all necessary scenarios and use cases
Ensure that team follows established QA standards and best practices
Provide regular status updates on testing activities
Maintain and update test documentation as needed
Manage and maintain QA tools and platforms, train team members on the use of these tools
Identify training needs for the team
Keep up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies, tools and industry standards
Share knowledge and best practices with the team
Work closely with developers, product managers and other stakeholders to ensure that quality is maintained through all SDLC
Participate in agile ceremonies like sprint planning and retrospectives

Additional responsibilities:

Set goals and objectives for the QA team
Create and maintain a positive and productive team culture
Represent the QA team at cross-functional meetings and presentations
Advocate for the QA team's needs and resources
Track and report on QA metrics
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:‍

3+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance field (experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress; understanding of framework architecture)
1+ years Managing experience
Strong knowledge of Python, Pytest, Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks
Backend testing, API testing, database testing, POStman
Experience with CI/CD infrastructure for software development and delivery
Problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
You have good English and communication skills
Experience working with agile software development teams
Ability to work independently and proactively
