Lead Software Licensing Analyst

Due to team expansion, they are looking for an experienced Lead Software Licensing Analyst to join their ITAM team. This role involves overseeing software licensing processes, analyzing vendor agreements, and providing expert recommendations to optimize software usage. You will play a key role in ensuring clients meet software compliance requirements while reducing unnecessary costs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead software licensing and IT asset management processes, ensuring compliance and optimization.
• Analyze vendor licensing agreements, focusing on Microsoft or Oracle licensing models.
• Conduct software license audits, identifying risks and proposing solutions for compliance gaps.
• Provide expert recommendations on license migration, optimization, and renewal strategies to help clients maximize cost efficiency.
• Work closely with external software vendors, partners, and procurement teams to align licensing strategies with industry best practices.
• Support internal teams and guide a middle-level licensing analyst, providing mentorship and expertise.
• Maintain strong client relationships by conducting regular updates, answering inquiries, and providing ongoing licensing guidance.

Requirements:

• Experience in software vendor licensing (Microsoft or Oracle expertise required).
• Prior experience in a senior analyst or lead role, preferably with team management experience.‍
• Strong knowledge of IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) processes.
• Ability to stay updated on software licensing trends, compliance regulations, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Fluency in English and Latvian.

Nice-to-Have (Not Mandatory to Apply):

• Experience with additional software licensing models (VMware, RedHat, Adobe, IBM).
• Knowledge of cost optimization strategies for software resource management.
