As a System Architect you will join forces with the industry professionals in designing and
deploying digital twin solutions for Latvian municipalities, with further opportunities to scale

Responsibilities:
● Work with stakeholders to identify and document end-user needs and define
technical requirements
● Design and develop the architecture for the open source cloud infrastructure and
DevOps platform, ensuring scalability, reliability and security
● Lead the initial development phase, including prototyping and proof-of-concept
● Define and document best practices, standards and guidelines for cloud
infrastructure development and deployment
● Work side by side with experts from leading European ICT companies and
implement the latest developments, ideas of leading European researchers into real
solutions
● Work in an agile environment and lead a technical team
Requirements:
● Previous experience in commercial projects in the design and implementation of IT
architecture solutions (including infrastructure architecture)
● Previous experience in the development and implementation of cloud services
● DevOps / development experience in commercial development projects
● Understanding of open source technologies and community
● Understanding of Agile, Scrum and DevOps team principles
● Experience in writing IT documentation (specifications, requirements, instructions,
etc.)
● Experience in microservices architecture
● Experience in networking concepts (DNS, firewall, routing, TLS)
● Understanding of security and IT operations automation, CI/CD and deployment
design
● Understanding of infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation or Ansible)
● Understanding of containerisation (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker or OpenShift)
● Knowledge of English and Latvian
