Front-end Architect

Our partner is one of the leading technology providers for the ICT industry active in 28 countries in Europe and a total of 143 countries worldwide via PaaS partners. In 2022, net sales of the Swiss-based company amounted to 12.5 billion euros. Their ecosystem offers around 120,000 resellers hardware, software and IT services from more than 700 vendors in over 1450 product categories. In the spirit of the circular economy, the company provides all services from provision to refurbishment from a single source. Their Supply, Solutions, and Service divisions cater to a transactional range of hardware/software, customized IT solutions, and subscription-based cloud offerings as well as platforms for cybersecurity, virtualization and AI.

Your location: Portugal, Poland or Germany. Flexible remote-first option, they have an office in all 3 countries. You can also work fully remotely from one of these countries if that's your preference.

They are looking for a Front-end Architect to join their team to help transform their IT applications into a unified e-commerce platform. You will be responsible for providing guidance and direction to multiple development teams as they replace current front-end implementations.

  • You are at least a Senior level Front-end Developer with leadership/team management experience;
  • Recent or current experience with hands-on front-end programming;
  • Experience with modern front-end development frameworks and libraries, preferably at least some experience with Vue.js;
  • Knowledge of front-end development principles and best practices, including accessibility, performance, and security;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with distributed/remote teams;
  • Fluent communication in English with overall strong communication skills.


  • Design and oversee the implementation of a unified front-end platform for multiple IT applications;
  • Enable horizontal and vertical scaling options for business features and technical components;
  • Ensure clear isolation and dependency control between components, with decentralization of ownership and independent life cycles;
  • Maximize component reuse to avoid functional duplication and maximize the development team's time;
  • Establish a single sharing point between teams to minimize integration and feature implementation.

Additional information:

  • Full-time work, standard employment, flexible working hours. B2B contract is also possible.
  • Ideally, you can travel to Germany once per quarter but it's not mandatory;
  • Their tech stack (these are not requirements): Javascript, Vue.js, Gitlab, Git, Java, C#, .NET Core, Azure Cloud and more. Typescript is planned to be implemented.
