DevOps Engineer

Location: Sede - Perafita, Portugal. Flexible remote first hybrid mode with the possibility to work fully remotely and periodically meet colleagues for team-building and training opportunities.

In this role, as a DevOps Engineer, you will be part of a team that supports enabling cloud technologies for small and big businesses. It's an opportunity for you to work in a dynamic and agile environment together with a motivated and experienced international team with constant learning opportunities.

Main responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Configuration Management and System Lifecycle Management;
  • Ensure Source Code Repositories are managed and working;
  • Improve Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery / Deployment (CI/CD);
  • Monitor and report on application misbehaviour (infrastructure and application health);
  • Share knowledge among team members of best DevOps practices.

Must requirements:

  • Experience with Windows and/or Linux server administration;
  • Hands-on experience in scripting with Powershell or other scripting languages;
  • Experience with any of the following tools such as Bitbucket, Bamboo or GitLab;
  • Proficient communication skills, good written and spoken English;
  • Solid understanding of DevOps practices and at least a general concept of how development teams are working in an Agile environment.

Not mandatory, just nice to have:

  • Experience with Active Directory Management;
  • Ability to understand application engines: .Net, Microsoft Azure, JavaScript;
  • Experience with any of the following tools such as App Insights, Zabbix, Graylog or Pingdom;
  • Infrastructure background that includes Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD, monitoring/scaling, security/compliance and troubleshooting/incident management;
  • Preferable previous experience with Kubernetes or at least willingness to learn.
